1. Who should attend?

2. Do I have to be an ITM member?

Yes. As a minimum you must be a registered ITM Connect member to attend. ITM Connect membership is free and allows you to Connect to ITM to receive member news updates and access to some knowledge and networking services. To register as a Connect member go to http://www.itm.org.uk/do/member/view_register?register_tier=1. Conference registration fees for ITM Connect members include 12 months ITM Business membership.

4. Will delegates be made up exclusively of buyers?

Although around 40% of ITM's membership is made up of airlines, hotels, surface transport providers and travel management companies; the ratio of buyers to suppliers attending the conference is strictly controlled 50:50.

5. As a Buyer will I have to attend meetings with suppliers?

Yes. In order to receive complimentary delegate registration, buyers and sponsored buyers are required to attend the networking sessions with suppliers/sponsors.

6. Are all the sessions compulsory?

None of the sessions are compulsory; however we would hope that every delegate would wish to make the most of the educational and networking opportunities that the conference provides.

7. Will transportation to the venue be provided?

The ITM Conference 2012 is being held at the Principal Hayley Palace hotel which is in central Manchester. We hope to provide discounts or discounted rates on trains and other travel providers to/from Manchester in due course. Please check the travel information page for any special rates/offers available.   

ITM is not providing local delegate transfers from Manchester Airport or railway stations to/from the conference venue. Delegates are asked to make their own way to the conference venue. The hotel is a short taxi ride (approx. £5) from Manchester Piccadilly station or approximately a 10 minute walk.

8. Can I stay after the Event?

The ITM Conference finishes at the end of the educational content on Wednesday 23rd May. Those staying on the night of Tuesday 22nd May will be required to check out at the required check-out time of 11am - Palace Hotel  / 12 Noon - Holiday Inn Express on Wednesday 23rd May  and store their luggage with the hotel concierge. Delegates staying overnight on Wednesday 23rd May will have access to the facilities at their hotel until check-out time of 11am - Palace Hotel  / 12 Noon - Holiday Inn Express on Thursday 24th May.  

9. What is the dress code for the conference?

Smart casual - no jeans* training shoes or T shirts. *with the exception of Monday night’s networking event

10. What is the dress code for Monday Evening?

Smart / Casual - smart jeans permitted, no ripped jeans, training shoes or t-shirts.

11. What is the dress code for Tuesday Evening?

Black tie

12. Is there luggage storage facilities at the Palace Hotel?

Luggage can be stored with Concierge at the Palace Hotel.

13. What is the temperature in May?

The average daytime temperature in May is between 11°C - 15°C

14. Can I bring a Guest to the Gala Dinner?

As the event has a limited capacity of 350 delegate places to attend the full conference, ITM is unfortunately not able to offer guest places to attend the gala dinner only.

15. Can I bring a Guest to the Monday night Welcome Reception?

As the event has a limited capacity of 350 delegate places to attend the full conference, ITM is unfortunately not able to offer guest places to attend the Monday night networking reception.
