First Timers
Attending an industry conference for the first time can be a bit daunting. That’s why ITM has arranged special sessions to help first-timers get the most out of the event.
On the afternoon and evening of Tuesday 11th May, a special first timers’ session and reception will enable you to meet one another and the ITM board.
The session from 4.30pm until 6.30pm will provide you with a detailed insight if you are new to ITM and/or the conference. It will look at where the association has emerged from, where it is heading and what services are available for you now as well as drawing on the experiences of successful members. It will also guide you as to the best sessions to attend on the Wednesday & Thursday.
This first timers event was attended by over 120 delegates in 2009, resulting in over 90% of first timers pledging to return to conference in 2010. Here’s what two previous first timers had to say about the event.
“For a first timer, I gained so much from both the sessions and the networking. I felt so welcome partly due to the nature of the industry, but significantly felt at ease by the guidance ITM provided pre-conference. This was coupled with the First Timers’ events, which worked really well, allowing us new comers to settle in before the main conference began. Warmest Thanks, Paul Adderley, Sustainable Opportunity Solutions Limited“
“As a first timer buyer attendee at an industry conference like this it can be daunting, fortunately I wasn’t alone and I quickly got to know others. I took away loads from the event to help me develop my skills and our company strategy towards managing business travel plus I had a great time too.”
